Behind the Scenes

Another sale of one of my more popular pieces yesterday! Thank you so much to the buyer from Philadelphia! This one comes with a bit of a background story which I thought I would share. I had this brilliant idea (at least I personally thought it was!) for a very specific shot but no one to execute it with at that particular moment. Being the impatient person that I can sometimes be, I decided to take matters in to my own hands. Rather than finding a model and setting up a shoot at some mutually convenient time, I decided to give it a go myself. This was my first attempt at being both model and photographer. Not an easy task I must say! Having to focus on an object that was not there, making sure the light was appropriate, and positioning myself in the exact same way when returning to the chair was definitely both a challenge and an exercise in frustration which I can now laugh at in retrospect! It was certainly a worthwhile endeavour although maybe I should have waited for a model!!
